At Paramitha Suwa Arana, our mission is rooted in this timeless teaching of the Enlightened One. Caring for the health, physical wellbeing, and essential needs of venerable monks and nuns is an invaluable act of compassion, gratitude, and devotion (Saddha). By removing the physical barriers of illness, we help ensure that the Maha Sangha can continue their spiritual practice and preserve the Dhamma for the world.

1. Build the Naula Monastic Clinic & Sanctuary
A Peaceful Haven for Healthcare, Recovery, and Meditation
We are actively developing a dedicated monastic healthcare complex in Naula, thoughtfully designed to harmonize medical care with monastic practice.
This centre is envisioned not merely as a clinical facility, but as a peaceful sanctuary where forest dwelling and rural monastics can receive medical treatment, recover from illness, and continue their contemplation in a tranquil, natural environment. Built in alignment with monastic discipline (Vinaya), the facility features separate clinic halls (Building A for Monks and Building B for Nuns), diagnostic units, and peaceful spaces for rest.
Your contribution towards this project helps lay the foundation for a permanent sanctuary of healing for generations of monastics to come.
2. Fund Bimonthly Multi-Specialty Medical Clinics
Free Healthcare, Diagnostics, and Essential Medicines
Every two months, Paramitha Suwa Arana mobilizes a dedicated network of doctors, dentists, nurses, and volunteers to host multi specialty healthcare clinics serving over 100 monks and nuns per session.
Many attending monastics arrive from remote forest hermitages and rural monasteries where specialized healthcare is inaccessible. Your donations directly fund essential pharmaceuticals, diagnostic tests (ECG, Ultrasound scans, blood work), dental care procedures, and specialized treatments.
By supporting our clinics, you ensure that a venerable monk or nun receives immediate, dignity affirming medical attention completely free of charge.
3.Helping the Sangha Reach Essential Services
In accordance with the Vinaya discipline followed by Buddhist monks and nuns, they do not handle or use money in the ordinary way.This can create practical difficulties when they need to travel to medical clinics, hospitals, temples, or other places for essential purposes.
To help address this need, Paramita Suva Arana provides Bhikkhu Travel Coupons / public transportation bus vouchers to eligible monks and nuns.Your donation can help provide these travel vouchers, making it easier for monks and nuns to reach the healthcare and services they need.
